Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using Get Garage Sales. By creating an account or posting a listing, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

The service

Get Garage Sales is an online platform that lets people in the same neighborhood discover and post garage sales, yard sales, estate sales, and similar events.
We provide technology to connect sellers and buyers; we are not a party to any sale transaction and take no commission on items sold.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or post a listing.
By using the service you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to sell any items you advertise.

Posting a listing

Posting is free while free posting is enabled.
Your listing remains live from the moment it is published until the end of your chosen sale date (midnight local time), after which it is automatically archived.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your listing: date, time, address, photos, and item descriptions.
You may take down your listing at any time from the dashboard.

Prohibited content

You may not post listings for illegal items, firearms, controlled substances, or live animals.
Photos must be of items you actually intend to sell. Misleading or fraudulent listings will be removed and the account suspended.
Spam, duplicate listings, and listings for items not typically sold at garage sales (e.g., commercial inventory) are not permitted.

Address and privacy

Your exact address is kept private until the morning of your sale, at which point it becomes visible to buyers on the map.
You grant Get Garage Sales the right to display your address, photos, and listing details to visitors of the platform for the duration of your listing.

Free posting

No card is required while free posting is enabled.
If paid posting returns later, we will update the app before asking sellers to pay.
Get Garage Sales does not take a commission on items sold through listings.

Intellectual property

You retain ownership of photos and descriptions you upload. By posting them you grant Get Garage Sales a royalty-free license to display them on the platform.
The Get Garage Sales name, logo, and platform design are our intellectual property. You may not reproduce or use them without written permission.

Limitation of liability

Get Garage Sales is a marketplace technology platform. We do not inspect, authenticate, or guarantee items sold through listings on our platform.
All transactions are between buyers and sellers. We are not responsible for disputes about item condition, payment, or fulfillment.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability to you for any claim arising out of your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in fraudulent activity.
You may close your account at any time by contacting support@greatgaragesales.com.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be emailed to registered users at least 14 days before they take effect.
Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Alameda County, California.
